There are some artists who just simply emerge fully formed. Artists in full command of their craft and their identity.

The Real Lu fits firmly into this category. A graduate of the Soul Candi Institute of

Music, a producer, songwriter, sound-engineer, and DJ. The Real Lu began crafting his signature musical footprint away from the conventional music scene as early as 2009.

When he started producing a hybrid form of fusion Lo-Fi. Drawing from his heavy Jazz, 90’s Hip Hop, House/Drum & Bass, and Neo Classical Soul influences.

In 2018, his work as a writer/filmmaker would later lead him to harnessing the full power of the theatre of the mind through the conception of the show The Luminous Express. A show which, simply put, The Luminous Express is a cinematic aural experience of timeless music.

A journey outside of time which serves as a platform that is aimed at shining a light on Soulful underground artists and their music. The express leaves Sunday 3pm – 6pm Only On Urban Edge, Not Just Radio.
